Passkeys for Pennsylvania Players — What to Know & How to Set One Up
Keeping your account safe is our top priority. In Pennsylvania, due to regulatory requirements, signing in with a passkey will become mandatory on our site. Here’s what you need to know.
What is a passkey?
A passkey replaces your typed password with a quick check using your face, fingerprint, or your device’s screen lock (PIN or pattern). It signs you in within seconds and is more secure than a password.
Are passkeys required in PA?
Yes. Due to Pennsylvania regulatory requirements, after January 1, 2027, a passkey will be the only way to sign in on our site. SMS and email can also no longer be used to verify your account. Setting one up now means you’ll be ready.
Do I still need my password?
For now you can keep using it — but after January 1, 2027 the password backup won’t be available in PA. Passkey will be the only option.
Is it safe? Does Bally Bet see my face or fingerprint?
Yes, it’s safe. Your face or fingerprint is never shared with us — the check happens privately on your own device, and we only receive confirmation that your identity was verified.
How do I set up a passkey?
- Log in to your Bally Bet account as normal.
- After logging in, you’ll be prompted to Enable Passkey for Faster Login.
- Tap Create Passkey.
- Tap Add Passkey — your device runs a quick biometric scan to finish.

How do I add a passkey later?
Skipped it? You can set one up anytime: Menu > Account > Passkey.
My passkey isn’t working — what now?
- Turn on biometrics (Face ID or fingerprint) on your device and set it up in the app.
- If it still doesn’t work, delete and reinstall the app, then re-enroll your biometrics.
- No biometrics on your device? You can often use your device PIN, passcode, or pattern instead — just keep your software up to date and a secure screen lock turned on.
- Still stuck? Contact Customer Support.
What if I get a new phone or lose my device?
Your passkey often transfers automatically if device backup or syncing is on. If it doesn’t transfer — since password sign-in won’t be available in PA after January 1, 2027 — contact Customer Support. We’ll verify your identity and help you set up a new passkey.
Can Customer Support help with my passkey?
Yes. Once we’ve confirmed it’s really you, we can help you reset or set up a new passkey and get you back into your account.
