How to Disable Blocked Software for Geolocation (Mac & Windows)
How to Ensure Your Location Can Be Verified
To access our site and play games, your location must be accurately verified. Certain software—such as VPNs, remote desktop tools, or proxy services—can interfere with the geolocation process. Please disable or completely remove these programs before visiting the site, as they can prevent gameplay.
General Tips for Successful Geolocation
- Avoid using public Wi-Fi or corporate networks.
- Ensure your device’s Wi-Fi is enabled, even if you’re connected via Ethernet.
- If you still encounter a location error, check that no restricted software is running in the background.
Steps for Mac Users
Some apps like TeamViewer, LogMeIn, or Apple Remote Desktop may continue running in the background and interfere with location services.
To check and close such apps:
- Open Activity Monitor (Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor).
- Look for remote desktop or VPN-related apps.
- Select the app and click the X to quit.
To fully remove the apps:
- Go to Applications.
- Right-click the app and select Move to Trash.
- Empty your Trash and restart your Mac.
Steps for Windows Users
VPN and remote desktop apps may keep running in the background on Windows systems.
To close the apps:
- Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc.
- Look for VPNs, TeamViewer, LogMeIn, GoToMyPC, or similar software.
- Right-click the program and select End Task.
To uninstall the apps completely:
- Go to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program.
- Find any VPN or remote-access software in the list.
- Click Uninstall and follow the prompts.
- Remember to restart your computer after uninstalling.
Still Having Trouble?
Some programs may continue blocking geolocation even after closing them. If you’re still having issues, try fully uninstalling any restricted software and restarting your device. If problems persist, contact our support team for further assistance.
